Still miss the old girl. Feel that I got the details all nailed down, like stance, Big Reds, clear signals and a great paint job.
That's a beautiful car! Please elaborate on the stance.

The KW V3s are height adjustable, so I brought it down to RS height. Coupled with the rebound and compression dialled in to 50% (bet hard and soft), the ride is compliant around town.

Also put in spacers at the rear to fill the arches more. 7 mm with shims to hold the rim, longer bolts not needed. The car is running OE 17" Cup 1s.

So RS ride height in the photo? Any issues driving around town? Did you install any type of protection bar for the front end? Your car looks great! I love the stance of a 964 at RS ride height with Cup I's. I just bought a set of Cup wheels and a new suspension set at RS height is planned for the near future.

Do you have more photos showing your car? Please post them. Oh, and are your rear wheels 8" or 9"?

Thanks!

No issues on the ride height, or grounding the front on anything except steep slopes which would ground at least 70% of the cars out there.

Photos from a story I did for Rewind Magazine for Guards Red Porsches (iPhone pics):

Car when I first got it, with the SUV suspension:

Rears are OE, so shd be 9"

Hmmm .... are you sure the rears are 9" ?

My OEM Cup 1's are 7" front and 8" rear as per :

http://www.rsamerica.net/OEMinfo/wheels/index.htm.

Did you use 7mm spacers front & rear? who supplied them?

Car looks great!

Awesome car and great photos! Thanks for clarifying that RS height didn't cause you any problems.

I hope my GR 964 will look as good as yours once I polish it, replace the suspension and mount the Cup wheels.

For the OE Cup wheels, the NA cars (including the RSA) came with 7" fronts and 8" rears. The 964 turbo's came with 7" fronts and 9" rears. A popular mod is to fit the 9" wheels a the rear and the 8" wheels up front.

Thanks.

Maybe you're right on the sizes of the Cup 1s.

I got the 7 mm spacers with the hubcentric protrusions from porscheshop.co.uk. But they don't seem to have them now.

Good for you! How readily available are 964s in Singapore?

The dogs that haven't had their engines rebuilt and/or had a crash or two are pretty common. Nice ones are very hard to get. We should still have about 50 964s running around. One pristine, one owner factory 964RS

Any points of view on what the best wheel centre color is for BBS mesh wheels to go with Guards red? Black? Gold? Silver? Something else?
