I'm new to this forum and this thread buy I have a question and did not find the right page to post it.
I have a 4S with metallic black exterior and every 6 month I have it detailed and polished by local shop with very good reviews and service (www.aaaautospa.com) and they do a great job polishing and detailing the car but after 5 month I see marks coming back ,is there a reason behind this because I know the shop I took it to is very reliable but I was wondering if you guys had any issue like this before.
Had our annual Father's day C&C in Summit NJ this morning. They closed down the streets and allow us to show all marques. A lot of Porsche's but the blue GT2RS was a stunning example. I took the C2 instead of the turbo because it was raining when I left home this AM.
Thanks Anthony, the C2 is looking good!

Technically you should post this in the detailing forum as you’ll get better responses but I’ll reply. Typically if swirls are coming back it’s either due to poor washing technique or the detail shop is using a glaze to hide the scratches instead of removing them. Typically it’s the former so I would look at your washing technique and buy some better products. I have the same paint on my Spyder and I have polished it once in 8.5 years and currently it barely shows a swirl on the paint, there’s a bit on the rear lid near the wing.
I’ll also suggest that you shouldn’t polish the paint every 6 months, before long you will have no more paint to work with and then your only option is respray. So definitely get the cleaning process under control.
Our project #07 will be a Targa, step 1 upgrade 964 and drive as is, step 2 backdate will follow later / next year Base car, donor for #07 Steering wheel upgrade stereo backdate break and suspension upgrade
New to me. 2 months ago. 1991. C2. Now 70k miles. PO. Did normal interior lightweighting. Plus rear windshield wiper and removal of fog lights and rear engine lid badging. Very fortunate. PO updated to Full Bilstein suspension and Cup pipe. Happy to be part of the Forum. Todd. Durham. NC.
Ha Ha - I thought i recognized that car (as I was driving out).^
Same vantage before 964s arrived.
Cool, A lot of nice cars and some very clean 914's. I can't believe we have been doing this for 7 years now. A lot of work to organize this and John works very hard it. Gets bigger every time.
Nice RS. I had a prime parking spot and was told they got some great photos of my car with the lake in the background they might use for a cover of P4US. That would make 3 in the last 2 years. Good to see everyone next time you do a PCA event let me know. I am at all the social since I run them LOL.
