I had a friend look at it and based on the issues he found I made an offer on it, contingent on PPI results for compression/leakdown among other things. The dealer told me his mechanic had already done a PPI and that he would not allow anyone else to perform one, so I told him to shove it. He sold it yesterday, so he apparently found a sucker to buy it with no real PPI. 
Too bad because it would have been a nice 964 for my wife. PS: all the wheels had bends in them.

Ken, that's in a place called Hakone, near Mt Fuji outside Tokyo where you can find a road called the "Izu skyline". It's a drivers favourite except for weekends!
