Perhaps more technical imput versus "liking" everyone's pics might be appreciated.
Or better yet, put down the keyboard and sort out your heat exchangers. As I've mentioned many times, they don't adequtely Heat the car. still love my exhaust though.

Cheers.
I thought I was the only person getting annoyed by it.

There are many other threads that I check and comment daily, not all of them are of just photos of Rennlist user's vehicles. I personally happen to be most interested in 964's and am subscribed to this thread because Rennlist in particular has some great builds which I appreciate. I apologize that seeing the Fabspeed account so often bothers you as it is not technical information on threads similar to this one. As I'd love to put down my keyboard and work on our heat exchangers, I do not work in the research and engineering section of Fabspeed. I am, however, able to give you information.

Technical input is given when necessary, usually these photo threads do not get too technical. As for your Heat Exchangers, there has always been a well known problem on the 964 and 993 vehicles where the heat would not blow hot or the temperatures would decrease over time. It is also not always directly result from changing your headers with Heat Exchangers.

One frequent problem is that the cabin air temperature sensor gets dirty and clogged with dust over time. The CCU fan is also known to fail after many years of service, it's there to keep an airflow over the sensor.
The CCU enclosure gets quite warm during use, and if there's no air flow over the cabin temperature sensor the CCU will be fooled to think it's very hot in the cabin. It will therefore gradually close the mixer flaps as the CCU warms up. The user often turns up the temperature setting to compensate, ending up at a very high or max setting after an hour or two. This results in an almost binary temperature control, very cold or very hot.
Check the CCU fan operation and/or clean the temperature sensor in the CCU front panel.

Another issue is that the mixing flap servos, one or both, gets stuck in either the open or closed position. These two servos control the heated air flow on each side of the dashboard.
Check mixer flaps operation by turning the CCU temperature **** to the maximum and minimum setting. Both mixer valves should simultaneous open and close accordingly.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact us directly or email info@fabspeed.com. I hope that helps.

Cheers

My ccu functions correctly. We did an IR test with a stock 964 and mine next to each other. The heat exchangers on the fabspeed setup never reached half the temp the oem did.
I've spoken to plenty of people at fabspeed about it, including your now former engineer.

Anyway, tll:dr, no need to quote pics.

And since this is a pic thread.. At the body shop a few days ago, waiting to be torn down for a full respray.

I just follow their Facebook page. They seem to favor 964s quite a bit.
