Default General question regarding For Sale threads

Just wondering what folks thought about this: consolidate all for sale dialogue in one "official" For Sale thread.

Instead of sifting through tens/hundreds of FS threads in this forum, we'd only have to sift through one. Obviously, updating items as they are sold would be beneficial. This could also apply to an official WTB thread.

Good idea or bad idea?

I think it owuld be awful. I often know merely by the subject line, without even opening the thread, if I'm interested. Now I'd have to sort through what would be pages upon pages of posts, reading every entry, to see if there would be something I'd like. No, thanks.

there are way too many threads of the exact same topic. I would love to see every no-start thread combined into 1. it's not an infinitely complicated system. it's just an electronic ignition and fuel injection delivery pump.... I'd combine every steering thread into one long chain of endless sorrows and agony.... I'd combine all the mystery of the disappearing coolant threads into 1.... except, with each new case -- I'd prefer if it'd appear at the top of a new page.

I'd love to see 1 long brake thread in 1 continuous chain, and see a bunch of suspension threads combined. then for wheels, torque tubes, CV joints, seats, steering wheel, shift **** topics, etc....

HAVE THEM ALL under an expendable heading at the top saying; 'COMMON TOPICS TAB....'

but, dedicated for sale threads, cars for sale and endless part outs in the bottomless pit seems to work well.

Yeah. It would be like if all of eBay was just one thread. Easy to navigate, but several lifetimes to get through.

(Just noticed your location. My parents are in Silver Springs, MD. Go visit them for me).
