Shipping the first kits today!
FINALLY got all the hardware and packed up the kits this morning! Printing off the shipping labels next, and then off to the ups store.

I'd be extremely interested in getting in on the next group-buy if theres plans for it...
Let me know. PM me or quote me, I'll try to remember to check in. If we can work out a reasonable way to ship to Canada, that'd be awesome. I'd love to do this swap... Already was planning MSing the car as it was.

I'd also like to mention that I'm also into photography & have been looking to get more into videography, and would love to help with documenting the install process along the way on my car (83 944 NA).

We're not quite ready to announce final pricing on everything. But... to give you a ballpark estimate, I think we will be around $4k for my parts:
- engine mount brackets and isolators
- iAbed billet oil adapter block with fittings
- iAbed billet valve cover
- iAbed billet PS pump mount and my 944-specific bracket
- bell housing
- pilot bearing adapter
- intake manifold
- exhaust manifold
- modified stock oil pan (not incl. core charge).
A la carte pricing (like if you don't buy the whole kit at once) will probably be slightly higher, but nothing crazy.
I think the cost of a turbo 07K swap is going to be very competitive with an LS swap of comparable hp. Obviously, an NA swap will be thousands less unless you dive into modified internals like that 9000 RPM IE engine...

I'm not in a huge rush, winter doesn't even have a hope of ending here until April/May (Northeastern British Columbia), so I have lots of time between now and then. The car is currently receiving a full suspension update (coilover conversion) & like I said, a megasquirt conversion will be starting as soon as the car is back on all 4 wheels. It is an original German ZZZ VIN model with the 10.6:1 comp. ratio 2.5L. I have an AOT code transaxle waiting to go in the car (actually would like to speak to someone about some guidance on making sure this things gonna hold up once its in the car, haven't done much transmission work myself, but did tear apart the 7V that I blew up prior to this transaxle, so I understand the inner workings of these ones.)

Like I said, extremely interested. Theres actually a guy here whos known as a bit of an engine guru & loves the 07K's in-particular, and is in the midst of building one for his Audi.
If we could discuss final pricing in USD, I can take care of what it'll cost after conversion rates. I already know shipping will be ridiculous, but I hardly care. It's just part of living in Canada.
I have read literally every single page of this entire thread, so I've taken the time to educate myself on the swap. I'm also a long-time follower of Boost Brother's Garage on YouTube (and is how I found out about this), and a pretty big fan of what they've been doing. I had actually planned on eventually buying a second 944 engine and building a 2.85L hybrid for it, but would MUCH rather go this route, as the longevity and ability, not to mention packaging of this modern motor is clearly superior. The support seems to be there, as well. If anyone is aware of tunes available for these things for the MS3X setups, I'd love to speak to them about that as well. If the second batch is rolling in a month or less, that gives me lots of time to get my hands on an engine by summer to get the swap in there.
More than willing to put a down payment on the parts when the time comes. We'll discuss details when the time comes, I suppose. I do understand the bellhousing isn't quite being produced yet, and that the oilpan design hasn't been finished yet. I'm thinking with access to the resources and guys that we have around here (have some pretty nutty fabricators up here), theres a small possibility I could help with the oilpan issues, but I'm not sure. Sounds like you guys are 95% of the way there already. Also, if you guys plan on having this stuff available a la carte within my timeframe, I may choose to go that route, as the final price will be slightly out of the budget, but am more than willing to extend the build time if it means final install will be as easy as this kit seems like it will make it.
Sorry about the novel.
Been awesome reading about all of this and seeing what you guys are doing, and extremely excited for whats to come with all of this!

Cooling
What are your plans regarding the cooling system? Will you use the stock compenents or do you plan to make a new thermostat housing / coolant temp sensor housing on the back of the motor?
