No clearance issue at all after grinding/apdating the bellhousing then?

I have always wanted a Cerb, well before I got into 944s, would be fun to adapt this clutch setup on my car.

Edit : just seen the Tuscan mention. Is it the same clutch for both 3.6 and 4.0 engines?
No problem at all, some small amounts of machining required to clear the bolts on the clutch cover and also to except the centre push slave cylinder, but well worth it. The clutch works well, no slipping issues yet but only running the car at 12psi of boost. Have got some in car mapping to do and a boost map to sort and then we will see how it performs.

Cheers Tim

Can I ask what you consider high backpressure (@ 12 psi boost pressure)?

Hi, At 12 psi boost there is no back pressure to worry about, but at 22psi at 7500 its got about 32 psi which I don't like. As its road use and not going to be there for any length of time I will see how it goes.

Well I've finally got a smile on my face. We have been out in the car this evening doing a little in car mapping. Checking fuelling etc. and building a boost map. Running it at 1.5 bar dropping of to 1.35 were it catches the soft boost limiter at 7250rpm. Dam it feels quick. Intercooler works prefect and water temp is also very good. It does get a little heat soak when standing in traffic, temps up to 50 degrees but that soon drops when moving. I am well pleased, well worth the wait.

Cheers Tim

Cool. Are you running a dry sump? What oil are you running?

I don't think Tim is running a dry sump setup, what boost and revs was Duke using on his last wet sump engine ?

I think about 19psi and 7000-ish on the first 16v motor with pump fuel.
