It's just that there is not much space at the back if you come straight out and add a trumpet and still try to have enough clearance to the inside wall of the plenum. LR and SFR plenums all taper in and seem too narrow back there to give clearance inside the plenum for number 4. Moving the AOS is probably needed. Deleting the brake booster would be better, or angling all the runners forward. I'm interested to see what shape Sean's plenum is and how tight it is in the end.

I have a feeling its going to be tight, but Patrick is also on the right track. The AOS will stay but we are using the relocation hose from lindsey, we will gain quite a bit of room with it. http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/OILFILL.html

How did you weld the aluminum to the magnesium/aluminum intake pieces? Or rather, how did it go?

As far as I can see, using trumpets with long runners is only going to create issues, and I don't see how they would bring any significant advantage over a properly tapered plenum flange. The only other guy on here I saw using trumpets on a custom intake was Corleone but he also used very short runners.

Your going to laugh Thomas, but im having trouble getting a 3.25" al donut. I have one back ordered at our local aluminium supplier. apparently its not a common size. What are the options for throttle bodies? is there a larger TB that fits the stock TPS and throttle cable?

What size is the TB on those cars? Think 70mm rings a bell or was that a later model?
