Interesting results... is the diameter of the intake flange that much larger than the stock TB? I don't think I ever measured it.

What were ambiant temps like between for each dyno plots?
Was the old dyno plot with or without the MAF trap?

Stock intake inlet was initially about 61mm as I recall. It is now blended to match the Mustang throttle body.

Intake temps were very similar around 75 F. MAF trap really not a factor as the hood was up and a very large fan was used.

Shawn:

Some of the new aftermarket 4.6L TB's are 75mm, do you feel this is too large? Is there enough meet on the intake to remove that much material when blending in the new TB? I suppose so, but you would know for sure.

Eric,

I think the 65 mm should be plenty for our builds. Duke is running a 75 mm IIRC but that is with a 4V head. I have not looked at it but seems it would be overkill with the stock intake and difficult to adapt from a geometry standpoint.

The smallest aftermarket new "performance" TB I have found is 70mm. I suppose that should not be too bad.

Really looking forward to the DE at Road Atlanta this coming weekend Last weekend Josh B and I made a run over Blood Mtn as a bit of a shakedown. Spent this weekend doing final prep (brakes and suspension tweaks) and did some GoPro testing:

Shawn,

I really like this build and would like to build one for myself. Can we trade some emails sometimes. I am very motivated from your updates.

thanks

Adhesive mount on the windshield. Hard part was getting the audio. Had to run a powered mic to the exhaust. Tried mic in the engine bay but picked up lifter tapping.

Theres a guy on the aussy forum playing with mics and the go pro. His was on a 993 turbo IICR
He had a mic in the engine bay and exhaust. Sounded pretty damn good.
