block decked at all? i see studs...
raising the deck height? pushing the limits for bores? you can get the liners pretty close on a siamesed engine...like this northstar
Looks like its coming together well. It will be close if the belt breaks, but let's hope it never gets tested. Looks like my next cam won't be non interference on the bigger engine .
I'm getting excited just watching your progress.
I did find some longer rods for your next build ... Lol
I'm thinking a 3.6 liter monster hybrid

More lift on the cam, means the valves protrude into the combustion-chamber farther, necessitating deeper reliefs into the pistons...

Yep, my next trial will add .080 to whatever cam I choose. Either NA or turbo. I could fly cut the pistons I suppose, but using a drop in piston always sounds better IMO.

My pistons already have part of the skirt lower than the cylinder. It would need to be quite a bit more stroke to be of concern. Plus the pistons we are using have a shorter skirt.
With the rods we are using its not necessary

That's due to the head bolts using too fine a thread which pulls out of the block. Putting coarser studs in fixes it. Boost isn't an issue then.
he said .08 clearance; with added stroke the rods would go out a bit.

Sorry I meant the rods that I would be using. The have offset bolts. Even so, I believe that I could fit the current rods with minimal clearance work.
There are some other things about to happen that havnt been shared yet. Sometimes I get ahead of myself.
