Refresh951's Hybrid Ultra Stroker Build

Preparing to go to Atlanta Dragway Friday night for YearOne "Legal" Street Racing. Been making high boost test hits and everything is holding up so far. I think I have a pretty solid launch technique by means of heavy feathering of the clutch. Way more comfortable with the power than last year. Hoping I can keep it in one piece and run some decent times

Thanks Doug!
Thanks! I have enjoyed this car by far more than any car I have ever owned!
Thanks Tom! Hopefully all goes well. Should have some video
Went last year and noticed that. Should be a little better prepared this year.

Nice, Good luck. Just take a couple baby launches first rolling off idle so you don't break right away. With your gearbox, it should come on quick anyway.
I'm going up tomorrow night and might see if I can break into the tens. I had a run that should have been a 11.10 if I didn't have to get off it due to bracket racing. It's getting close.
I'd like to see you hit an 11 for sure

I want to get in the 11's before the end of the season.
Thanks Sid. Looking forward to your results.

Could not get free from work until 3pm so I hit the worst ATL Friday traffic ever! Three hour of stop and go traffic in the 951 to get to the track! Definitely not fun.
Not the ET I was looking for but had a hard time staying hooked up, especially in 3rd gear. Respectable mph of 121. With that mph, if I can stay planted, should be able run significantly better ET's. I had a run in which I stayed all the way in it in 3rd and the tires spun a pretty good distance. I had to throttle back a bit in 3rd and it was very difficult to manage. I got four runs and two of them I hit the rev limiter when the tires broke loose in 3rd. They said the track was very loose last night. Guys were complaining about their 60 ft times. My best 60 ft time was 2.2 which was not good. Last year I did a 2.1 60 ft. Boost was at 20 psi and I bumped it to 21 psi and 3rd got more difficult. Looking at the logs, boost in 3rd was about 1.5 psi higher than 4th. S2 tranny and stiff suspension are also working against me here.
I do not think there is anyway I can get in the 11's with the setup as it stands even if I am perfect. I think my Arduino EBC project just got moved to the top of my list. Going to try to get it done in the next month and go back to the strip in mid September for another go at it.
On my first run, air temp going into the MAF was 145 F . I tried keeping the car shut off as much as possible but it was heat soaked from the drive to the track and it was pretty hot out. I am sure AIT was pretty high early in the first run until I got some air moving through the IC and I had several knock counts. I bumped the fuel up and the sun went down and did not have any knock issues after that. No mechanical issues what so ever. I put this motor through a lot this year and it has held up extremely well.
