Tom, I do have abs.

I leave all that electronic stuff to guys like you and Josh. He has a nice job now do I don't expect to see out idea of traction control happen any time soon.

In the end, it's not a big deal, bc I want to launch on 20 psi anyway. ..... dreaming of the day....

Update. New record

Getting closer. Tonight I went 11.17 at 129.5 with a 15 mph headwind. I also ran a couple 11.2's and a few 11.3's and two over 130 mph. The car was jsut a blast to play with. I did two round robin (back to back) races and used the 2 step finally on my final run. I have to say, that I'll be using regularly from now on. The car is so much easier to launch and got a better 60'. Unfortunately the engine was pretty warm since I just finished a run and it didn't pull as hard through the rest of the run ( ran 11.3 @127).

I'll also update whats happened the last couple weeks. I took it up a couple weeks ago and sheared an outer stub shaft. I don't take those as extra parts so this is the first time I couldn't drive it home . Apperently, it also shocked the r&p and I sheared that the next week after testing at the shop.

So, what I did (thanks to Sean's transaxle thread) is swap in a good r&p from a trans I had from years ago that I broke the second gear. Everything went together great and it is super quiet cruising now (for now anyway).

I installed the empi race joints that xchop recommended. Thank you prior to breaking these parts mentioned. So, I think I was launching it a lot harder than I was doing.

My plan was to swap in a G31 box, But now I'm thinking that I may just go ahead and have some parts cryo treated in another 951 box and also cryo treat the stub shafts.

Not sure yet on what I'll be doing, but I do plan on continuing to improve my ET's and MPH.

The engine has ran flawless!! I will be racing again friday night and then again saturday during the day. Saturday I will be racing to try to make the top 20 in our Colorado street outlaws competition. I've done very well against some high powered street cars, so I'm gonna pony up the $$ and see where I stand. It's gonna be pretty grueling as you have to make a lot of runs and not make mistakes.

If a youtube video pops up from tonight I'll link it.

Next stop...10 seconds... Oh yeah.. This was all on my street tires

Congratz on the new record, Sid! I'm still amazed that you're putting down those times at altitude.

Thanks Dave.

I'm really going to try to go to elevation over the winter. Back when I was breaking into the 11's, I went down to 4500 ft with a DA of 7000' and picked up 4 tenths and 5mph. I'd like to see what happens at AZ (which is where I'll most likely go)

Awesome! Looking forward to an epic 10 second run.

If you only had an LS motor and OD as your mechanic you would already be in the 9's.
