Default Rogue Tuning C-Tune MAF

Hey guys I just received my C-Tune from Rogue today and I must say I am very excited to get this installed. Sadly I have to wait for a few more pieces to arrive, but as a teaser here's what I have so far :

(Left to Right) Ford Lightning 90mm MAF (ebay $75), MAP Sensor, AFM Harness, and the beloved Rogue Tuning C-Tune Chip

Can you say

UPDATE

Ok guys today I converted my DME to a 28pin set up, installed the Rogue C-MAF Chip and finally installed the Map Sensor.

Stay tuned!

Cool, we'll be running the same stuff to a degree. Maybe you could log some MAF voltage to compare?

Have fun.

Carlege- Yes sir, since I am poor I decided to contact Rogue about a Custom Tune, which would utilize the Ford Lightning MAF. The great news is that even though this is a custom setup it still is utilizes Rogue's True MAF software. A few members on here already have taken a similar path.

I'm still using the stock injectors and k26/6 for now. I have a k27 7200 cold side which I will make a k27/6 and will upgrade my injectors in the future (will need a re-tune from Rogue).

blown 944- I don't have a data logger currently but once I have the cash I will be more then happy to compare MAF voltage. I've heard you can do it with a multimeter which I could try as well.

It all depends on your budget and which path suits you... If you have the cash I say go ahead and get the full kit from Rogue, all the components are proven and tested to work together and at a reasonable price. Honestly if I had the cash I would have taken that route.

Rogue did do testing with the Lightning MAF as well so it will function extremely well, so I have no worries about this setup.

You shouldnt need a re-tune. That is the beauty of it.

You could probably use a voltmeter but I'm not sure how you'd log it. I suppose you could just hold max voltage but you wouldn't know at what rpm it was at.

I know I don't need a re-tune for my k27 hybrid but don't I need one for larger injectors? Right now I have the stock ones with a 3bar FPR. I'm thinking about getting the ones 80lb High Imped that Rogue sells, but that would be down the road.

I might just get a tool for data logging seems like it would just be easier lol

That sounds really cheap. But if C Tune works just as well as say M Tune then why pay for M Tune? Just cause it will be a new maf and what not?

Honestly that is one of the things I had mentioned to Josh. That and that it may be a real pia to deal with so many different setups. I'm pretty sure this stuff may be a limited deal. I know I would handle it like that. I will say though that he said changing to a known transfer function is not a big deal. The problem I can see is too many variables.

The M-Tune would be easier for the install (Josh provides the pipe, maf etc) and Josh has already field tested everything so your getting something that without a doubt functions 150% and works perfectly together. Also I'm sure there's more benefit to purchasing the whole kit and Josh will probably post on here.

Yep, the C-Tune is a per-case basis and not something I am really advertising...
It is mostly for those with custom (hence C) setups, and who cannot go with the M-Tune.

Cyclone: Glad you received the kit, let me know how it goes!
