Default k27-8 question

I recently acquired this k27-8 but the compressor turbine shows signs of damage by foreign particles, do you guys think that the turbo is okay the way it is or do the blades need to be fix ?

it's not bad but you should pull the turbine housing off and inspect the turbine wheel. It can be damaged and not seen with the housing on.

I'd say 250-300, as is, if it has minimal shaft play

I pulled the cover turbine looks fine, should I polish the inside and out of the cover?

Take it to the guy who does turbos and get his opinion....there may be problems that are not immediately obvious. Spinning this at 100K rpms w/o a check is looking for trouble.

The turbo came from a lister's car and it was replaced because he upgraded the car with a vitesse kit. He reported no problems while the turbo was in his car.

Yep, I put several thousand miles on my car with this turbo driving conservatively. I drove it hard on the street a few times and put it on the dyno once with this turbo and didn't see any problems.

Just to make sure we are on the same page..I was speaking of the exhaust side.

Polish or no polish......It won't hurt unless you pull too much material from the inside where the compressor wheel meets the compressor housing.
