Default Exhaust help

Had 3" fabspeed installed (cat removed) a little to loud on street car for me. Ran it with stock muffler in place still to loud.

Leaves me with one option to go with OEM exhaust/cat. Was wondering anyone try a 200 cell race cat on a 951?

I assume gutting the stock cat for less restriction will sound the same as running without one?

I had a stock gutted cat before getting the fabspeed cat bypass...its actually louder with the fabspeed because you dont have the exhaust bouncing around in a hollowed out cat, yet i do find that i got more grumble and pops with having a collection area with the gutted cat

Fabspeed has a bolt in cat option for their 3" exhaust system for additional $$. That should quiet it down to a bit.

When you say louder with the fabspeed.

Did you run the 3" with there race cat, or just a 3" sys with exhaust?

Thanks

rop3 - I have a Fabspeed 3" system - test pipe and muffler as well as SFR downpipe...not loud at all. In fact I think it's a little too quiet. But then again, my DD is w/out cat, resonator and ebay muffler, with gutted interior so it's loud and crude as hell so of course the P car is like luxury ride.

I am running the Fabspeed 3" with their high perf. cat. I think that it sounds great and is not too loud.
