Well.. Holy cow. Time to finally install the Brakes! Some amount of time has passed. Pretty much 2 years.

My biggest problem was wheels that didn't fit. Since I found the deal of the decade for rims. The brakes now fit. - inside the wheel. HUGE amount of room in this rim. It almost makes these brakes looks average. I have also upgraded to a full 87 and later suspension, with these 968 spindles, and 87+ (longer) tie rods. I still have much to do. I have to get the car painted before I install the custom brake lines I have to make. I still have all the Tilton pedal parts to install after painting. So. a weekend or two of work before the brake system is complete. AND only after the car is painted. So.. time.

Anyway, here is a pic of the Brake and rotor mounted in its place. - Oh.. no idea if any of the brackets are still around. But I just heard that Sam still has his cnc mill so all may not be lost.

I can confirm 996tt calipers will fit under 17" Cup 2's with a 7 mm spacer, 9" Cup 2's will fit without spacers, alas I have only test fit so far. Time flies..... like Bruce said " Holy Cow"

Yes time flies. We did these Monoblock conversions about 6 years ago. Adapters are directly available from Antti's 9Products.com parts shop. I suppose his company is the only one who can offer a complete kit; including rear Monblock conversion parts as well.

Ollie, any word on the larger bolt on master cylinders that were being tested last year?

Awesome Olli. I'm glad you chimed in. I apologize for not mentioning your product.. or 9Products.. either way. Glad you're here to help anyone that needs this conversion. I'm obviously partial to it.

Isn't it funny with all the new brake threads right now? Good stuff and options.

Looking good Bruce! What rotors are they?

So just to clarify, to fit these you need;

1) Non Mo30 spindles
2) Adapters like the 9m version
3) Different rotors. Options being Cayenne, GT3, custom hats/rotors...??

That's it??

Thank You Patrick.

Those are 996 Twin turbo rotors. 23lbs. 7 oz. (not so extremely accurate scale)

$140 ea. from Pelican.. Shipped. Problem is.. These are not hubcentric to the 87+ yr 944 hubs like I thought they were. I have to make a ring just like the Cayenne's rotors need.

The centering ring is one reason I didn't mock these rotors for the Wilwood kit. The other is the 330mm Cayenne rotors are bigger and half the price than 996TT rotors.

well, $40 less. Centering ring for either rotors. Offset is further back for Cayenne. Needs its own adapter.

What is the 996TT offset again?

The Cayenne is 69.3 mm

I have to check at the shop. Anyone know for sure? What I said came from comparing the Cayenne to the 996 at my shop.
