Default What is the difference between US fogs and Euro fogs?

What is the difference betwween the US fog lights and the Euro fogs. I did a search but found nothing. I am wondering because my fogs are cracked and ugly looking.
thanks

Euro fogs have a second reflector for another bulb (per side). Its a more focused beam, that is awsome for driving at night but sometimes makes other drivers despise you.

Just the fog lights on (55 watt bulbs in my fogs....)

Euro driving lights on (100 watt bulbs in the driving lights, 100 watt bulbs in headlights and the 55 watt bulbs in my fog lights so 510 watts of light without the highbeams on.... I call this my "I hate other drivers" mode)

My car the inside driving lights come on with the brights. And when the headlights are off they flash to pass. That is the ROW wiring and bridge relay.

i tried searching but i think the search is retarded cuz i type in "951 driving light" and it basically shows all new posts in this forum.

what kind of modifications would be necessary to make a US lens have two lights like above?

Spence, there was a thread about this, I may have it bookmarked at home. The basic idea was you remove the reflector in the US turbo lens and then snap in another bulb reflector and adjusting screws.

A reflector out of a busted turbo fog. If you remove the reflector, the lens is clear for driving lights.

This is a picture of US spec foglights. The drive drivers side has the reflector part removed. The passangers side has the reflector removed and a "bulb holder" (i'm sorry horrible description) installed. The US spec foglight housing will not allow you to adjust the beam. You can achieve the euro foglight look by simply installing the "bulb holder". the "bulb holder" is the exact same as the stock one.

Here is a picture of Euro foglights installed. I bought a universal headlight harness from ebay to power then up. I installed the on/off switch in a "stealth" position so you can't see it. I use the euro ones as my headlight during the night. They give plent of light.

Wish I did not throw out my old fog lights... I would have given them to you. The euro foglights really make the car look a lot better also.

some more info:
I do not believe these cars are prewired for the euro spec foglights.
becareful when removing the foglights. The screws are usually rusted and break extremely easy.
100 bulbs are way to bright. People were flashing me constantly. Dfastest951 also reported 100watt bulbs melted his lenses!
I'm runnin 55watt with no problems over the last year.
it's extremely easy to adjust the beam setting
You will probably want new side trim peaces also.

DOH, I just got mine today (What has brown done for you lately)..

I must say the euro lights are much more imposing, but I did hear the faint singing of angels in the background when I opened the box...
