What I don't like about the splitter is that it isn't flat at the bottom.
If the bottom of the protruding part stretched back under the bumper it would be much more stable.

Yes, remember this was made from the ground up very quickly and very affordable.

I'm not bashing the product. For what it is (and costs) it seems like a great product.
I'm just wenting thoughts about the splitter design in general, and how I personally would do it if I get the chance to manufacture one.
But on the other hand, the fast 944 race cars are often so low that the splitter cannot be anthing else than a flat piece..

Yep that's true enough. I had to take mine off when on the street. I wouldn't have had 4.75" like Van and it scraped all over the place. Van, I'd be interested in what you might find with one of the V1 versions?

I'm no track junkie (hope to be some day), but I swear I can feel a noticeable difference with the V1 @ 70~80+ (stock m030 setup). Of course, I went from no bat wing at all to the V1... I'd be very interested in looking at data for the V1! Maybe it's a better match for the stock rear spoiler?

Do you want this for a track car? See if Tony G still has any left of a different design. Much more solid than the CPR version (not bashing, just saying), however neither are suitable for a street car.

I know Tony did some modifications to his design but the original version was suitable for my street car.

Not entirely certain. Pretty sure Tony modified or added some wood underneath an already existing product so it's hard to tell what it's made of. It is very sturdy and in my experience didn't need the fasteners to the bumper panel due to flex. Tony did use fasteners as his bumper was a f/g facsimile and not as stable as the stock bumper. I still think this splitter would be very risky on the street as it protrudes quite a lot and is likely to catch on a steep driveway. Something will break if this happens. You still haven't told us what your car is for. Street or track?
