Well...in the quest for a better running engine, I finished installing my new fuel rail today with 80# high impedence injectors. We're going to have some fun mounting the FPR, that's for sure...

Sorry for just getting back to you. I was slammed this week. I would be able to come over sunday if that works. I would love to see your car in person.

I see you like CEP
Thanks Jason! I was hoping to mount mine directly off the back of the fuel rail like this:
But when things were tightened, the angle of the FPR was off. I ended up buying a -6 90deg elbow and mounted it like yours. You don't have any hood clearance issues, do you?

Looks good. A little cleaner than mine I have to spend some time re routing things. Was kind of a rush job at the end trying to beat the weather. Snowed the day after I drove it for the first time in November. DOH!

72 lbs/hr injectors and rail pressure will be set to about 40psi. Was just speaking with Dave Lindsey this morning about setting up idle and pressure.
hope it helps,

Thanks Jason, I'm running 80lb/hr injectors right now. Just switched actually. Took the car for a drive tonight and it was behaving MUCH better! Idle AFR is now in the 12.5-13:1 range, and cruising AFRs are in the 14:1 range. The bucking when leaving a dead stop was significantly reduced, and overall behavior while driving was a HUGE improvement! Here's a pic of the new rail set-up:

I've probably put about 50 miles on it so far, so around 450 left before the break in is complete. I've also only taken it to 5 psi, but it hits it so fast, I have to lift or shift pretty quick.
Next step will probably be headwork!
