What changed your mind? Did you find cheap pistons? That head doesn't look like an S2 16v, where is it from?

Read a lot about heads in the past two months and decided that benefits of 16V head outweigh the drawbacks/concerns.

Pistons will be slightly CNC modified to resemble heritage Mahle 16V turbo pistons. http://www.heritagemotorcar.com/research/piston.htm

Its 968 VarioCam head, improved version of S2 head. It even has oil temp sensor in it.

968 VarioCam! I can't wait to see what you do with this, it should be incredible. I'll assume you won't be using the stock "unobtainable" 968 turbo induction system? Custom intake fab?

I've heard tell of a more custom 16v motor reaching 620whp at 1 bar very recently. I'm sure more info will follow soon enough. Not mine.

on facebook, broadfoot racing is advertising their 700hp motors for 25k+. Those numbers, if achieved, are incredible.

The bhp is achievable. The boost level and longevity is the variance. I've not seen Albert talk about 700hp motors before.

it should be on their fb page. the motors are really nice looking. To spend 25k+ on a motor for our cars, it would be a lifetime commitment.

$25k for a motor that produces 700bhp is cheap if it's going to be reliable. I'm not totally convinced of these claims though...

what it looked like when i bought it..

and the engine when i got it. it had a bunch of vitesse bolt-ons and a piggyback controller etc..

now for the new stuff. precision 6262

shiny

more shiny

106 over, so just shy of 3.2ltr

head was cleaned up and milled several times to get it absolutely perfect

love a clean block

4-1 stage 2 headers. this was before they were coated

running out of room, so it's side mounted, but i'm going to add a 'catcher' intake vent on the side of the cooler

what she looks like now. just took this, she needs a bath and a good wax/polish, but you can see the new rims i put on. they're german, single forged rh's. replicas of the ones on the 968 turbo rs

completed. i've added a custom catch can where the washer reservoir is, since. removed the power steering pump and reservoir, secondary oil cooler etc. 968 throttlebody, 82lb injectors, fuel rail, bosch 044 fuel pump, fabspeed 3" exhaust (no cat), electromotive tec-s, aem boost gauge/o2, tial wastegate, 993 big brake kit, aor full locking diff w/cooler, braided hoses, hks evc boost controller, larger custom race radiator and intercooler.. so much more..
