Methinks there is more to this story yet to be discovered. Good luck with it Dom.

Three Wheelin'
The pedal effort is reasonable and the clutch engagement took a little getting used to. It had some chatter initially in first gear, but it's smooth now with only some chatter in reverse. Keep in mind, the assembly is good for something like 600 lb-ft.

I will be using a factory flywheel, KEP2 PP, and 930 disc. Altho this set-up has caused trouble for some, the consensus seems to point to excess crank shaft play as the culprit as I haven't heard of anyone yet with a freshly re-built/new engine complain of issues with this set-up.

The only slight downside is that it has a very low biting point (about 2 inches off the floor) so takes a few minutes to adjust when jumping from my S2 into the Turbo

I am using the Southbend "feramic" material on a cuop disk, along with Southbend's higher pressure Sachs disk. Feels virtually stock and has held strong up to 19psi or so.

Regarding the KEP 2, I spoke to Monty at KEP and he told me he has seen aluminum flywheels bend and clutch forks break which rules them out form me.
Who sells the Southbend and has anyone used Blazak?

Look under imports for the OFE clutch kit. If you order their kit off the shelf, they send a standard 944 turbo clutch resurfaced with their OFE material. I didn't want to risk it with the little damper springs in that disk, so sent them a cup disk that they resurfaced with their OFE material. Turn around was very quick.

Did 8700 miles so far with the same set up on my engine, without any problem.
The higher the biting point, the longer the potential pedal travel, the higher the potential stress that the fork will sustain -> Setting the biting point low with this clutch set up is a good thing IMO.

Just moved mike3.0cabturbo to the running motor list -- looks like an impressive motor too. Hopefully he will post up some pictures and details!
Anyone other updates to the list I should make folks?
