George, the car looks great and the power is very impressive. Glad to hear you are very happy with it and will enjoy it too. When you can, please post some videos of it on the track.

Actually he is on vacation in the White Mountains of AZ.

When my mom heard it running she asked, "What is that jet engine noise?!?!?!"

FWIW with the new 968 transaxle, as well as some more tuning, the car is an absolute rocket. As in, there's no need to run 23 psi for the street at all.

I'd be curious to do another dyno run now that the motor's broken in more and tuned.

The car is running well. Just need to get the 968 ABS sensor hooked up so I have a working speedo. The new six speed really helps with this car. The LSD is working very well. It's a clutch type, not the torsion from the factory.

I'm getting used to the power. At 16psi the car is amazing. I've been running 16psi using 91 fuel, but we have run 18psi with no issues. I just perfer to keep things safe. I hope to get to the tuning dyno tomorrow afternoon.

We now have all steel fuel lines, so I'm getting some 1000cc injectors and going to tune a program for E85 and high boost.

The new suspension transformed the car. It's limits haven't been explored, but I really enjoy driving the car.

If I get to the dyno tomorrow, I'll post the numbers and charts. We need to calibrate my A/F guage to the 02 sensor. I want to know exactly where I'm at, and I think that the guage is reading richer than the car seems to feel.

George

You should think about larger than 1000 cc's IMO.

sig on 83b injectors at 3.0bar whats the most boost you think I could run having a map designed for e85(vitesse). I regretting not going bigger but, to be honest I just didn't think I needed it.

Turns out I was wrong.

You will need bigger to go above 400whp.. Especially with your torque. I guarantee it.

I'm running 60psi static 1000cc injectors. Ran out of fuel at 440whp.

Don't let them run the duty cycle past 80% Bad... don't do it.

George you will need 1600cc injectors on E85 or you will run out of fuel at the 500-525WHP mark.

John
On a 2.5 probably ~22-23 psi safely. For street romps.

I don't know what the Vitesse setup is like though, so dependent on how it is scaled up may change that.

You may want to ask him.

Timing would not be my concern as much as fuel.

I had a thought George.

Knowing you really place a demand on street driving this car I would question going to monster huge injectors needed for E85. Your idle quality will drop a lot and emissions (street car) may go to ****.

I have not run E85 but I have a question for those that do. How do you know how much gas and E85 you have in the car? This ratio will dictate the right AFR and needs to be calculated to get the tune. New flex fuel cars use a density meter in the tank and the adjust on a programed scale. Even with the right tuning map and the right fuel system I would think once you do one or the other you are locked in on your fuel choice until you drain the system.

So for example, we go to Greer and start with 100%E85 the map works and works well. We get to greer and need fuel but there is no E85 stations around. Fill it to the top with 91 gas. What tune map do you use?

dammit I was hoping the 83lb would be good for lower 400ish.

I don't exactly know. I have the map sensor installed and john says the software automatically pulls timing. I have two e85 maps the one we are using is the one with 35% more fuel added.

If it could run 22-23psi thats ALL I would ever need. I'm not looking to run crazy high boost. I'd just to be able to hit 20-21psi while running e85 and not have to worry about running outta injector.
