Corrected properly. I was thinking of an article read years back about the 993GT2.
Still hoping you will see my *** at some point on our way to Greer. I'll moon you if I have to as you are pulling me, if that's what takes place.

Actually the 97-98 "Turbo S" was AWD just like the regular turbos. The only mechanical differences (at least for US models) were a different ECU for slightly more boost and an additional oil cooler. The rest of the changes were cosmetic/luxury (leather-covered switchgear, carbon fiber, etc.).
The 993GT2 (both racing and street versions, the latter never being sold in the US) were RWD only.

Just washed the 951 and took a few pictures. Just had Himsel's rear sub enclosures installed. Haven't detailed the interior yet. It's starting to look good. Have a great weekend!

Thanks Patrick,
Send me an update on your car or cars motor or motors. This car is running well. Still have that humming in the transmission like I've had for two years. The bearings are on their way out....I think anyway. Could last another couple of years, or a month. When we changed the axles and fluid, it had no shavings. Maybe I just have a loud transmission. It's got 131K on it though and this tq is over 100 ft lbs more than the last motor.
Put some new Falcon AZENIS on. As close to DOT racing as I could find for less than $200 per tire. These are awesome tires for our cars for the money.
Took the car up a mountain road here in Tucson this very early am. 2500 feet to 8900 feet. Awesome road, and the car is running/handling great.

If my experience is and guide, you might want to prep a new tranny to have on hand...

Fun car. I like it and it seems to take the power without feeling stressed from a suspension/brake standpoint. This motor just sings and that turbo on boost sounds like a jet.
Thanks for the compliment. I really like how the car turned out. Had much help getting it here.

It looks like we are getting 20-25WHP per lb of boost after 15psi. The 530hp run was at 23psi but we completely ran out of injectors using 93's and 45psi FP at 20psi. We turned up the FP to 65psi and still ran lean netting 530whp. So, with bigger injectors and 28psi boost this motor should produce 630+whp. But the car wasn't designed for this, and I didn't want to do this. Tim did, but it's my car and my money if something goes south. Trust me, 18psi and 440whp and similar tq that is available without heat soak, or really stressing the motor or turbo is a faster car than one that can only do this with very high boost and for short periods of time. We hit 440 whp with 120 degree weather back to back over 10 times. No heat soak, no issues just consistent power.

Are you going to run race gas at the track? Please do and run your best. Assuming a 20psi run will be the safest max psi.
I'm hoping my car will run soon and I need a goal. (not ET. that only proves drag experience, It's the MPH im interested in)
Only your best will do.
