The pp fingers break.

So in the end I was lucky when I tried to buy a Stage II from Skip@Paragon and he did send me the Stage I... Phew!

Is there any particular commonality to the breakages like hard 1/4 mile starts or just some quality control issues? I'm really unsure what to do now??

No.
My opinion is that the fingers of the stage 2 are short lived under the stock throw of the slave under normal adjustment.
This problemis strictly limited to the lifting of the pp off the disk for shifting.

Now that I have everyone's info, there is indeed a common denominator between ALL the affected PP's.
Unfortunately, no matter who the vendor was, the fault is at KEP.

I will talk to them about batch run sent to this vendor.

You too huh Tim? So you would advise not to install the same setup as you had/have?

Is there any suggestion that it was batch related? How would we know anyway?

Does this problem apply to their current run? Is this strictly limited to the number run that you've found?

I've found out from the original purchaser (chillibluepepper) that he bought it back in July 2004 so I am feeling like this must have preceded the current bad batch Si? Oh, and before you ask it has not been used.

So who else makes a great clutch that can handle really heavy loads?
