Default WARNING - KEP STAGE 2

Since I have been such a proponent of the KEP stage 2, I now feel that I should warn possible buyers.
KEP is having problems with their stage 2 for the 944 turbo.
They WILL warranty the pressure plates, but this does not compensate for the 20 hours of labor on a 944 clutch job.
The problem is that the forks are breaking.
I have now heard of SEVERAL instances (including my own).

I use a relatively thin, six puc ceramic disk, and the piston travel WAS set at minimum, so no problem there.

I would advise you against one, for the time being....

Thanks for the info.

Do you think the KEP stage "1" can also be affected?

Simple crack check spray/detector/cleaner proves worth the $20 cost of the kit when you take the fork out.

Magnaflux or SpotCheck can be used.

Oh great, I'm just about to install exactly the same setup you've been using...
are they saying any dates or product recall. Is there batch no's on the plate itself?
