Default 951 and the GT-k turbo

We finalized the GT-k turbo fitment for the 951.Unfortunatley,there will be no KKK style housings for it et but maybe they will be available in the future. So we will be offering a kit very soon for those power hungy people who want the most advanced turbo on the market. After inspecting the GT-k turbo awhile back it was very apparent to me that this is the most advanced turbo I have ever seen with the expection of the VTG turbos on the 997t.The GT-K turbos features an anti surge compressor housing like no other. At first glange it looks like there are small bores drilled around the perimeter of the inlet on the compressor housing. When you pull the compressor housing off you can see that the machined holes actually allow air to enter the major part of the wheel which allows the turbo to A. avoid surging and B. allow it to injest even more air then the inlet of the turbo alone. I think this is why these turbos have been able to outflow the equally sized Garrett GT turbo So anyways, we wanted to try these on the 951. George D's car will be one of the frst to run this turbo so we can see how it does. Here are some pics.

anything I can do to help.

Tim, in all reality, is it a wet or dry turbo? I assume when you said it doesn't have KKK style housings, it won't bolt up to the stock exhaust, so I'd have to get a new x-over and down tube...

Dry.I beleive wet is an option though.Yes you need a new crossover and a new downpipe and a smaller alternator and a spacer plate for your intake manifold, and a four inch intake pipe!

Would a KKK exhaust housing be needed to mate to the LR 3 inch dp??? Those turbos look sick

wont a dry turbo have a much less lifespan due to the temperature meltdowm and coking? I thought Porsche used the coolant/oil cooling for this reason. How hot will that baby get when the car is shutdown?

but why have to do that? you shouldnt have to baby the car because the turbo which you choose is not equipped with as sophisticated a system as stock.
