If you can afford it, go drive a lexus IS 350. 300 hp, handles nice, 13 sec qtr mile, luxury, RELIABLE etc...I sold my 951 for same price you did. I almost bought the above car. If you can't afford it. A lot of people here I'm sure will roll their eyes but the new honda accord has 270 hp. take the 12K, add a little extra and pay cash for something you'll never have to work on ever again. Best thing you can do is go to every car dealer and start driving them, multiple times. When your ready wait till last week of the month and start emailing asking for quotes. If a dealer still hasn't met their quotas which they get BIG incentives to reach, you'll get some pretty good deals.

The certified check from Canada was a dud, so I kept my car and didn't release it. Now I am stuck with it til I get a buyer (not that I am sad). It is running good and although it bucks a little cruising in 5th at 60-90mph, I still love it...so I'm sticking with the elite LART!

Check huh? That would have me worried.
When I bought my car, I did it drug dealer style with a wad of cold hard cash that he could count on his coffee table (which he did). You ever meet a drug dealer that took check? (that's a loaded question... ever meet a drug dealer?? lol)

^^^^ Haha
But I can see how the car can be a PITA. The way I see it, it's pretty much you have a lot of money to spend on the car so someone else can work on it for you, or you have a lot of free time, knowledge, and equipment so you can work on it yourself.
Kokeln/Vision motorsports doesn't even accept 951s anymore unless you're a previously established customer. Apparently the time spent working on them isn't very profitable when compared to the newer model porsches.
Oh yeah, and i stand corrected, the s4 is a v6, i was thinking of the skyline GTR, which has a straight 6. And yeah, understeer is a big problem with the older quattro systems which are front wheel biased.
As for jap crap, they don't have the wow factor or the prestige that German cars (European cars in general) have, but for the price, they sure perform well. I expect the Nissan GTR will put the 997TT to shame by providing comparable or better performance at half the price. Jap crap also makes the best everyday drivers for commuting to and from work where MPGs and reliability is what matters most. Hell, the current chassis of the BMW 5 series got the lowest side impact crash rating, and got beat by Kia, Acura, and Toyota - you're pretty much paying for that little blue and white badge.
On another note, anyone else notice the trend of car adds over the last 2-3 years. Before billboards used to advertise horsepower and torque, now they advertise MPGs.

Also , understeer is a matter of alignment.
