I sold my car today for $12,000 to someone in Canada, now I am looking to buy a new car so I don't have to have anymore headaches, anyone have any suggestions?? I definitely don't want an EVO or WRX, the insurance is waaay to high, I am looking at the Mazdaspeed3, anyone familiar??

I like the mazdaspeed3, I wanted 4wd so I got a Subaru Legacy GT, 2.5 Litre Turbo 250hp, comfortable,
handles pretty good, get rid of the stock tires though, 5 spd shifts pretty smooth, cheap insurance,
much better than the WRX I had before it.

I'm gonna google it now, what makes the WRX have 50 more hp in the same engine?

The regular WRX doesn't have 300hp, only the STI. In fact the brand-new WRX uses the exact same engine as the Legacy GT.

Mazdas are awesome, I had a 2002 Protege 5 about 3 years ago, I loved it, handled great for a FWD! My mother had a Mazda 1993 MX3 for 8 years and she loved it, my bother has a 2001 Ford Escape with the Mazda 3.0 V6 that he uses for work and he has 196K on it and still drives great, my best friend just bought a CX-7 and he adores it!

Hmm, well, I doubt you'll really be able to leave the car alone for long. All of us are afflicted with the "disease".
However, what are your requirements? Do you need a wagon, all wheel drive, hatchback, sedan, etc, etc...
There are some really nice cars out there, like an E36 M3 which are cheap to buy used and cheap to maintain...

I just looked at the 2005 Subaru Legacy GT and it did 0-60 in 5.7 seconds with stock 13.5 psi, not bad for AWD! The 2007 model has 243 hp but it starts at $28K
