+1 for the MkV GTI with 2.0FSI turbo...

Audi A3 is basically the same platform, AFAIK,

I'm looking at a GTI with DSG transmission for my new 951 'companion'... it's a VERY handy little car, chips up nicely, and it's quick and fun right out of the box, and while it's not as FAST as a WRX or EVO, it's got a much more pleasant interior than either of them. Fairly affordable, too.

Luis, I am glad that you sold your 951, in this world there is only 2 kinds of people, the one's that drive 951's and the common pure mortals, the lesser humans. For some reason I always knew that you didn't belong with us, the elite. Just go ahead and buy a sti or a evo or a honda if that is what you wish as they come in many levels of gayness that will suit your spefic gay need.

^^^^^^^ Actually laughed out load so hard i woke up my youngest daughter!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFLMAO

Dude, buy an 87 Grand National. Excellent people hauler. I can haul both car seats, my wife, my Chocolate Lab, myself, a weeks worth of groceries, and a bag of golf clubs at almost 20 mpg. Oh yeah, I can roast second (and not break anything) stock and can roast third for about $200 in mods. Oh, did I also mention they are appreciating not depreciating?

dunno if you can get a6 2.0tdi over there? with manual they do 40-50mpg! pretty sick. they are about as exciting to drive as a camry though....

320D and 520D, 525D osv are other alternatives.

new 123D should be fun, 204hp and 0,51liter per 10km!

Yes, there is two kinds of people, those that prefer modern day technology and those that are stuck in their youthful nostalgia of their era, in this case the 80's for you. What is so elite about owning a 951? If they are so great then why do Porsche shops advise people to get rid of them?? Do you think that Jay Leno or any other well known car enthusiast owns a 951? The answer is no, so saying that everyone out there who is driving a Jap car is gay, not very nice, it's ignorant, considering that Jap cars are the best selling cars in America. I think that you are actually surprised that I got 12K for my car, and this is your immature way of showing it...

You sold your 951 to get something else. I think you should get...

Bitch slapped. What are you thinking?

I am(and I think Lart was too) joking.

I think it is great that you got 12K.
It would be nice to see these things go up in value. I'm not expecting that for at least 20-50 years but I can dream.

I'd look at a almost new Legacy GT.

Cause I was obsessed with it since I was 14 and I had to own one to see what it was like. If I would have gotten the white '89 I looked at Venice back in May of 2004, I know it would have been a good experience, unfotunately, I got mine from a scumbag crook and I had to wait almost 2 years to get it, and that made the experience even worse, plus when I got it, I had to repair/ replace many things that were wrong with it, it never ran right and it cost me a lot more that I had planned for...

It sounded like Lart was being sarcastic and insulting, at least that's how it came off, and for no reason too...

Not true, Lart would never have paid even half of that, he only buys cars for a couple of grand for parts or project cars from guys who really need the money.

Lfa is a dork, his car was a mess because he was doing always mickey mouse fixes and his mechanic ripped him off all the time, first because he didn't know about 951's and 2nd because lfa is a big dummy. I do have a bunch of other cars, moderns cars but none of them stand to the beauty of the 951 none, except the Aston martin DB9. btw, leno doesn't own a 951 because he is gay, so go ahead join the rest of the low life worm infested crowd.

No reason, you sold your 951 after asking a million questions, spent our time for nothing helping you without being a member and now you want advise on a new car that is not a 951!

WTF are you peruvian or something ?

Anders, there is NO VW/Audi diesel product for sale in the US at the moment, until the US diesel supply standardises on low-sulphur (15 parts-per-million instead of the current 500 parts-per-million)... VW/Audi group took that desision to the incredible frustration of the VW dealer network, for whom something like 33% of car sales last year were diesel...

None the less, the Pompe-Duse motors WILL be here next year, we're informed, and if I don't get the petrol FSI, I'd love nothing more than a GT-D with DSG... Hehehe...

Lart/ Luis Artiga...

My car was a mess cause the guy who sold it to me did a crapp job of putting it together, if I would have gotten it from someone reputable or at least decent, I wouldn't have had to spend so much time here or money elsewhere. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you might like the Aston Martin but others might think it's ugly, so respect other people's taste and leave people's sexual orientation out of the equation, oh and yes, Peruvian, for the most part is a lot better than Cuban, which here in Miami is BS trash talking wannabes...
