Here is one of our recent projects at our shop in Athens GA. We did the LS swap but the rest of the car has been a race prepped chassis for decades. So much cool stuff in this car. Wish I had taken some photos of the underside.

Such as? ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Yup, rear engine. AWD as well. Looks like they dumped cosmoline on it too! ![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
I believe it's a flat-four. 911-esque headers maybe because they might also have heat exchangers?

Thanks F.T. :-)
Almost looks like the red one doesn't have a torque tube though? Perhaps angle. Perhaps just rwd?

However, I do see some sort of brace up front. If you zoom in you can see where the frame rail is, then where the tunnel starts to curve up, at which point the view is block by the metal ramp. So the tube could be there, just hidden.
But it would nice to have a clearer view of the underside, including the front!
Also looking at it zoomed in - I don't see a spring plate or torsion bar carrier. But maybe they are there.
Given the tire tread and wheels it looks like it could be an early car. Which is quite interesting, given it has AWD. The production 959 didn't come out for a few more years (but obviously in development at the time), and Audi had just released Quattro. Granted, Porsche had already made a prototype AWD SC convertible at the beginning of the decade. But still interesting.
Car behind it interestingly has American lighting, but a smoked or perhaps body-color reflector.
BTW, the car below it looks suspiciously like the 1985 Bauer convertible prototype. That car's unique brakelights would more or less confirm the theory
