I bought a finished race car. It has an insane amount of development invested. I've never seen or heard of a 944 with this kind of suspension. No offense, but even the most high dollar no expenses spared builds in the US all seem to stay with the stock style suspension and just slap on the biggest Hoosiers they can fit. In many European series tire sizes and compounds can be heavily regulated which creates a much higher focus on suspension development.

This car was raced in endurace racing with a Volvo 4 cyl engine and 205/55-16 R-spec tires. I will race it with my 3.0l 16v turbo engine and fit the largest tires I can. With slicks this car will destroy 996 Cup cars. I will post a full thread later

There I was. My pics sitting in the 'Trick 951' thread. Feeling good about the car...and then Duke comes along with a 'Real' racecar and brings me crashing back to earth. Thanks pal.

Love your car Gustaf. Can't wait to see and hear it in motion!!

ps how much offset is on that thing with the hubs and spacers? Looks big!

I will never match the finish of your car Pat. My race car is pure business

The rear runs 60 mm spacers and even with those I can run 9-10" wide rear wheels in the 50-60 ET region. PLUS that fact that the 996 rear suspension crossmember is already widened a fair bit. That gives an indication of how wide track this car has.
