Nize, good to see that there are turbo's out there that can offer good boost levels over the majority of the rev range. Just noticed one of your earlier threads where you say you still have the stock AFM in there with the door pinned open. In the stock setup it is actually the AFM that is the biggest restriction in the intake system. Cant you somehow hollow out the AFM casing to remove that restriction? People i've spoken to with stock turbo's that have ditched the AFM and gone with SciVision MAF's have said they noticed improvement in the turbo spool up time due to the removal of the AFM restriction. Might be a pretty simple way of getting a little bit more out of your current setup.

good suggestion. i've met and seen some track-only 951's that were running similar setups to what i have now, and they are making around 400whp with the stock afm in place, which was the original reason i kept mine in there.

i'm planning on removing all of that to dyno-test a filter-only attached directly to the turbo inlet and compare that with the afm plumbing dyno to see if it actually makes a difference soon. stay tuned.

Great data, thanks for sharing nize
Pauertuning have been a first class vendor for me also, from pre-sales right through to the packaging, can't wait to be getting some air through my T04E again.

Did I miss the dyno results or have you not made it over there yet?

haven't had much time to tune lately. first run hit around 317whp, though.

Hmm - so with tuning you might be able to up that to 350? That is with bigger injectors/MAF/3" exhaust/bigger turbo/aftermarket wastegate/chips?

dyno is up! read the first post in this thread.

323whp/334wtq at 17psi on 92octane pump gas

full boost at 17psi achieved by 2900rpm !

there's room for improvement, too. just need a bit more tuning.

Nize...I posted to your pelican thread showing the graph...am I reading it wrong? I see 10-11 psi at 2900 and 20 psi above 5K.

the dyno boost sensor is not as accurate as the one in the EMS, or maybe it's just too sensitive, which could explain why the curve also fluctuates even though my VDO boost gauge shows a steady 17psi to redline. i'll post a separate log from the EMS later.

also, that boost dropoff at 5200 does not register on the VDO nor on the EMS.

Cool. Your Wolf 3D seems to be working very well for AFR. Were you getting any significant knock counts on the winter blend 92 oct. gas?
