there's room for improvement, too. just need a bit more tuning.
PAUER tuning, perhaps?

Nize,

good work on describing your install and results , ask the dyno operator for a graph done in MPH ....

Nize,

Those are uncorrected numbers. What are they at SAE which is the standard? The dynojet viewer allows you to change corrected.

it was 50* inside the room with about 40* outside when we dyno'd

My SAE correction was .94 that day (45 mins after his) so that would equate to 303.62rwhp and 313.96rwtq when corrected.

Sorry to jump in peter, just helping ya out.

peter: I found out the numbers I had were corrected also so that means my lil 26/6 put down 289rwhp and 330rwtq at 17.5psi!!! (max of 18.5psi) but 272/311 corrected

i'm planning on removing all of that to dyno-test a filter-only attached directly to the turbo inlet and compare that with the afm plumbing dyno to see if it actually makes a difference soon. stay tuned.
Nize, are you planning to do this test any time soon? You're using the factory airbox, right? I'll be interested to see the difference in the power and spool-up.

i did do that test. this dyno is without the stock airbox and snorkle. the difference is significant, and it's definitely worth removing the stock air box and snorkle if you want maximum turbo performance.

all things being equal, the spoolup is about 200rpm faster without the stock afm/snorkle, but the real difference is after 4500rpm when the air restriction becomes really noticeable. the result is way more area under the curve and a gain of over 36whp.

thanks for the reminder, i'll update the first post.

Nize, I got some nice 3 1/2" mandrel bend aluminium for mine and then reduced down as I still have the stock 26/8... it should be a few inches longer, but we originally set it up for MAF. Let me know if you want some photos.

hey can you send me some photos? i was thinking of using a honda prelude intake snorkle (blasphemy, yeah) but have since learned it's 3" on one end and immediately reduces down to 2.5" so i'd lose some airflow.

ideally, i'd like a 3" pipe that goes from the turbo and bends to fit a filter inside the fender where the stock snorkle originally was. that would insure cold air and keep the rain water out.

And this is with no other changes to boost, a/f etc. ?

yep. you can even see how the afr goes lean without the stock afm/snorkle due to the extra (denser) air. it most likely also picked up some power from the afr going lean, but the air flow difference is really noticable. intake air temp logs also show that there's much less temp variations without the stock afm/snorkle, so it's definitely getting colder (denser) air with the restriction removed.

when i have time, i'll try going richer to match the afr to see what the real difference is, but i'm not really motivated to do that right now.

Cool!

I guess that proves keeping things "stealth" with airbox and snorkel might be robbing a lot of power.

Good point about going lean on the second run as you might have even made a little more if you add some fuel up top.
