Based upon what you said and without having a PPI done? I would say yes. After the PPI, if some things are found to be wrong, then it's time to negotiate. Then again, his asking price it just that. My first 944T was an 1989 and was in pristine shape from a Porsche collector, bone stock, no damage, garaged, etc., and only had 27K on it too. If you are serious about the car, do "extensive" homework on it before you consider making an offer, let alone buying it too. Everyone has their own preferance, but for me, I only buy 944Ts that are in either pristine to excellent shape. Anyway if you need any help at all, feel free to PM me. I will be happy to help if I can.

does just serviced mean belts/water pump/seals/rollers?
i think you'll find a lot of dry rubber all around bushings/grommets.
low miles is nice but mostly sitting for 18 yrs is it's own wear and tear.

20k sounds resaonable considering the low miles for an 89, and as long as the inspection checks out.
$3100 for a decent 88 turbo S is like winning the lottery! Good find...

I would say yes, easily. There was one with 30K that sold last year from the PCA website for $15K and I kick myself for not snapping it up, even though it was quite some distance away. There just are NOT that many low mileage cars around. Of course, if you are going to modify it, then you could probably pick up something that was in very close to the same condition--or even better for less money. If you are buying it for a driver, then follow Rolex's advice and make sure that there is NO deferred maintenance. Then you have a $20K car that will be a real pleasure to own and drive for years to come and will maintain most, if not all of its value. Sounds like a nice car.
