Wow, now that is insane!!! I thought my old one with 27K was incredible. But you blow me away! There was one on here last year though, that was in absolute "pristine" condition, like rigth off of the factory floor. It was an 1988 Turbo S in Red and had no mods, with only 5K orginale miles on it. I have pics of it, before it got totaled - Yikes! To date, that was the lowest mileage-pristine 951 I've ever seen since I've been around. Anyway, you have a nice car and a unique color too.

Hell yeah it is, my car was 10k, and it was in decent shape! Good find! I wouldn't pay over 20k for any 951...just my personal opinion.

all rubber hoses/vac lines, seals, etc are still just under 20 years old. Will want to carefully consider replacement. For me would be an absolute must do. Looked at a few low mile 994T with terrible leak issues from dried out/hard seals..

Yeah. Beware of fuel leaks and fires. Wouldn't you hate to watch one of these pristine, low-mileage cars burn to the ground?

Beauty, Sam! Gold 89 guys need to stick together! Quick question, is it my imagination or are those upgraded rear calipers on your car?

The car pictured entered my family with 65K miles on the clock, a very interesting history, window sticker and a box full of records. Not as special as yours but has a perfect interior and all the OE parts...although the WG, cat and downpipe live in a box in a back room while a Lindsey MBC, Tial and B&B bits provide service in daily use.

It sports the full 968 M030 upgrade including rear coil overs, sways and brake diverters, installed by a PO who apparently worked at an independent Porsche shop in NJ, as interpreted from the employee discounts on the receipts. Car was originally sold by Jack Daniels Motors for $49K in early 1990, our clan bought it from David Barton in Atlanta in 2003 as the fourth owners. Other owners included Andrew Gissonia for sure and probably Paul Foster. BTW, the sticker price converts to roughly $72,000 in 2007 dollars

The second pic shows the car, "in the day" as a PCA racer in the NE.

Not a garage queen but representin' the breed on the streets! Once my credit union gets off the title, I suspect this one will return to the track for DE and time trials. We paid $13.5K and, yes, I would pay $20K for a perfect version!

Love my '89! Probably worth that if the maintenance is up to date. Don't be afraid to offer $18k.

I often describe it as a Trubo S. (Sorry Geoff!). Not every '88 951S came in pink with a plaid interior!

davepnola: So what's the deal? Are you going to seriously pursue that 1989 that you had originally posted, or no, you are looking at something else? We all went off topic for a bit, so help us get back on track here pal.

Looks like I am buying the 89 because I can not resist the low mile 89 in red. I think i might scrap the 968 conversion, not sure yet though. I will need to sell the other 2 951s to offset my bad spending habits. the 86 is red with 90 k runs strong about 7 in being clean out of 10. the second is Morts car that I am fixing, and it has no frame damage, just a bent strut and list of other problems that I will take care of before I sell it. It is a nice optioned car though, its black with air bags and abs brakes. I will update the suspension , chips, exhaust, air intake, etc... that car is about an 8.5 when finished. So I will be shooting Pictures soon of all cars and the 89 and then I will make my decision based off of what the other 2 cars sell for..................... Thanks Dave

Thats good. Make sure to have a PPI done first, then again you know this since you have a whole stable of 951s? Wow, good for you. When your purchase is done, take some pics. And oh, I'm not sure it is a prudent thing to go and publically post your phone number, but that's up to you.
