I've had the most fun tuning my car with the Vitesse Piggyback this week and I think it's safe to say that after only two and a half hours in total I am at the stage where I think I have the fuelling pretty much spot on This plot was taken this afternoon at 18psi

John at Vitesse has been fantastic, helping me tailor my mapping each day when I have sent him the latest logs from my wideband and he has sent back suggested alterations to get the best from it. I really had not been looking forward to this part of the project, but I can't believe I have done it so quickly and with so little hassle.

I want to publicly thank John and now I can get on with enjoying the car Next trackday is at Donington Park on Sunday 18th March

So Paul, now that you're running more boost (18psi up from the 13psi from last week) what are your impressions? Also are you going over the 5000rpm yet?

Paul, it has been a pleasure working with you. I'm glad I was able to provide you with a tuning solution for your Monster engine. Even though this was your first attempt at tuning, you did a fantastic job.
There is much more you can do with the PB, we'll leave it for another day.

Hi Patrick, based on the log file he sent, the max RPM was 6824rpm.

Paul be careful at the Melbourne Hairpin mate. Its so easy to underestimate speed going down there. I have seen it catch a few people out.
Have a great time, mine won't be ready until April so woin't be able to make anything until then.

Great to see he's starting to get stuck into it!
Looking forward to a similar graph.

could be your gauge that was off and you thought maybe you took it to 6400 but in reality took it to 6800. I know special tool said the stock gauge can be off by ~400rpms

Well done Paul, we are truely impressed with you as a customer.

You did everything you asked when running the engine in... and now at the tuning stage your doing everything that your advised to do. If only all our customers had as much restraint as you have shown!

Well done again... I cant wait to see what power she shows when next on the rolling road.

I use Shells premium fuel here in the UK which is known as V-Power and is rated at 99 RON. Why do you ask, do you think I am running too much boost to be sensible?

Oh not at all. I was just curious if you were keeping tuned for pump or higher octane.

Are you going to be able to re hit the dyno now that you ahve your tune dead on?

I'm really tempted to re-measure it straight away just to see what I have, but I always organise a UK 944 Dyno Day in May so I might just leave it until then when I will have about 30 like minded 944 nuts around me

Hopefully there will also be another four or five 3.0L+ cars so it should be a pretty exciting day as we hit the rollers one by one and leave with a big smile on our faces (or collapse in tears on the floor )
