That's great to see Paul! You will see an overall improvement in many aspects.

Latest report is Paul now has the MAF fully installed and fully operational!!!

Initial reports are good... I expect he will be along soon with a Rennlist report!

Indeed Rennbod,
I take it you have been keeping an eye on the PCGB forum and Paul's latest news!

So can we tempt you away from your 9XX/JMG modified 964 turbo over to a 9XX/JMG modified 3.2 944 turbo?

Well I've just dropped the car off at Indi9xxs place down on the south coast for the Piggyback to be installed as I couldn't handle it myself. I've been driving it for the past week on the stock chips from John at VR and they are pretty damn close to where we need to be but for a car with the potential of the 3.2 engine and ball race turbo we felt we had to use the fine tuning that the piggyback can give us.

I hate dropping the car off again after only having her back for two months but this should be the final step in the evolutionary chain and then I can start using the car in anger

Just have patience Paul, and he'll get it done for you. Remember mate, these aren't called "project cars" for nothing? So have him install it and make some adjustments if it need be. I am sure John from VR would help you guys out too after it's installed. You'll have it done soon enough...

Paul, did you receive the MAF plug I sent you?

You are 100% correct, fine tuning should be done to get the most out of your engine.

Oooh yes, perfect timing John, it arrived yesterday just in time for me to take it down to Jons place with the Piggyback.

Jon is planning to take the car straight round to a local Dyno Dynamics to get a direct comparison plot showing how the car now runs with the VR MAF in place

He should be John, that is an awesome car! I love that it is so stealth too. I can't wait to see what he can have it do that meets his needs.

Paul ... Lovely car mate

We need to hook up at a trackday... I'll send you a PM

Great work and the stealth approach is allways going to be with way forwards

But get the suspension and wheels sorted next mate... You will never look back

Keep the posts coming

I am and I've just heard from another UK owner who has recently fitted a VR MAF kit and piggyback to his fairly standard 951. He took it to a tuner wit a Dyno over the weekend to get the Piggyback dialled in properly and has reported back with a vast improvement. Not only did he get more power and torque but he was particularly impressed with how smooth and civilised the car now is.

My turn next.

will be nice to see this at the nordchleife in spring, I will bring my own as well. Do you know an englishman with a red 951 turbo, with a massive wing? drove very slow in the turns, but I had no chance on the straights. I'm there quite often, but with some planning I would love to meet up and have a look under the bonnet!

Piggyback is being installed later this week... But I can confirm that LIL has picked up some power from the MAF, I am very impressed

We just need to cut down on the intake noise a little for Paul, which I am working on now.

I have very high hopes for the power levels that LIL will get on its next rolling road visit. Less of a TDI power curve, a little more torque loads more top end power and thats just at 15 PSI... at 18 to 20 PSI I dread to think how much power she will have!

With the miles that LIL has now accumulated, we are very confident that everything is working as it should and the second 3.2 944 turbo is about to be launched onto the world.

All the best
