I had a set of Fuzions on my Audi S4 and they were good except for whatever reason on the Audi they were noisy on smooth pavement in the 10 to 40mph range??
Have Bridgestone S03 on the 951 and like them a lot. Good traction wet or dry good wear considering the use the car gets and although not perfectly quiet are quiet enough. They are very stiff so if you leave them at track day pressures you will feel every ripple in the road. Lower the pressure a bit and the ride smooths out quite a bit. I don't know if they are still being made in our sizes as Bridgestone seems to be moving tjoward a RE050 jpole position or the new 01R.
As for the other possibilities a friend has the Azenis 615 and he has been very happy with the overall dry grip.

Bridgestones, Michelins, they are way over priced, yet for almost the same performance you can get the Hankook Ventus RS2 Z212, which is the best tire I have ever used, even beat the Kumho MX in Tirerack tests, you can get 4 for less than $500...

PHP Code:
They wear even while sitting in the driveway.
Wow, no one has really dogged out the ZRi's, they have a treadwear of 320 btw.

Rereading my post I did forget to mention that the Fuzion's on my heavy Audi wore out extremely quickly when used on the track. As a matter of fact one track day really did use them up.
Value wise in comparing them to the S03's in my particular experience the S03 is the better deal if you are going to use them on the track where as you say you are going to push your capabilities. They do not have the grip of the S03 and on another friends 951 they did not have the grip of the Azenis 615.
In saying all this I don't think you will hate them but if you are pushing the car and yourself to the last 5% then you may want the stickier tires.

If you want the last 5%, get a set of track tires...they won't grease up and go away and you won't trash a set in a weekend like you do street tires. I found the streets were so baked hard by the end of the weekend that they were practically useless in the rain afterwards. Its false economy thinking you are saving money by using street tires on the track IMHO.

Well, since we're chasing zombies, I will say that the Hankook Ventus V12s I just installed are fantastic on the road. I'll find out about the track (and whether I'll be hastened to R-comps earlier than expected) this weekend.

I think Hankook have some quite varied product. I had some once and they were awful but I believe their R specs are very good. Different factories and different compounds.

Hypocrisies aside I will update those who are interested on the Hankook RS2's.
I have had them on my 951 four seasons now wear has been what I expected after ~10k km (6000 miles). Rears are at the tread wear fronts are fine for another 10k i'd say.

RS2 Front

Am I happy with these tires? In a word, no. Do they deliver value for money? Yes. Would I buy them again? No.
Pros: Quite; good tread wear; moderate grip levels when new; cost
Cons: grip level lost after season 4; terrible wet weather performance (not an issue really as I don't drive the car in the rain if possible);

Timely post. I'm looking for a new set in the next couple of weeks. Right now I'm looking at the General UXP's. They rate well, and I'm especially interested in their wet weather performance. There are some tires with a bit higher ratings, like the Continental DW's, but they are runing at a 50% higher cost.
Anyone running the Generals? They are made by Continental, as conti owns General, and they've gotten nice reviews. I'd love to hear from some of you guys who may have run them.

If you're in the market for a formula R tyre the Yoky A048 is worth a look. A bit cheaper than the Michelin Plilot Sport Cups (what isn't?) but comparable performance.
