All side wall nonsence aside, I am currently running the Hankook Ventus RS2 z212 in stock 16" sizes.
I bought them from a dealer who sells Brigstone, Michelin, Yoko, BFG, and Hankook. I too did lots of research, and concluded the RS2's were the tire for me, great dry grip, huge tread blocks and great looking sidewalls (j/k couldn't resist)...

Tom, I have the Fuzion Zri on my Audi S4 and they were noisier than the Bridgestone RE040. They also have worn extremely fast, however some of that is due to the heavy Audi front end and several track events.
The Bridgestone S03 on my 86 951 have been great in the 225/50/16 and 245/45/16 size. The fronts have lots of miles even including the track days on the same track as the Fuzions and still have lots of tread. The rears, well they seem to wear a bit quicker, wonder why?

dand86951, thanks for the noise tip re the Fuzions. Your Bridgestones are the size I was shooting for (and what I currently have). Are the S03's reasonably quiet compared to the fuzions?

Tom, they are on two different vehicles but I think the S03s are much quieter than the Fuzion. And there is absolutely no doubt the S03s are a far better wearing tire when run hard. The front S03s on my 951 easily have 10 to 15K miles and lots of track time and are still not close to the wear bars. FYI the 225/50/16 fronts are very wide for a 225 tire and are within 1/2 inch of the 245s. Made for a well balanced car and they seemed to be very good in the rain, not worth a flip in the snow and pretty greasy when they are cold as compared to how sticky they are when hot.

For a long time, I was tempted to try them. I think the only reason I didn't was the price. That may have been around the time the Kumho MX came out and, if I remember correctly, outperformed the BF.

Did anyone try Sumitomo Tires? or are they just not worth it? (reviews show nice though).
They are the only brands that have 245's 16" locally, hence why i am asking.

I had the HTRZs on the car when I bought it. They didn't last long and I was not impressed. I have not tried the HTRZ II.
