Going Off Topic-
Yikes!! I just came in this morning and read this thread. A couple of objective observations from a person that does far more reading on this forum than posting. First, I think that we are all lucky to have some great vendors (i.e. Vitesse, Lindsey Racing, etc..) to choose from when we need some parts because anyone who has been around for awhile knows that the 951 community is very small and tightly knit. If one of us has a bad experience, we all know about it. Second, as someone that has a 951 I know that if someone says something about my car I take it very personally. As I think many of you do. I wish we could ask a question about a part. Get the hard data from the respected individuals here on Rennlist, and then make a conscious decision for ourselves without the "bad attitudes" coming out. Know that not everyone at Lindsey Racing has a bad attitude. I respect what many of you have to say and then there are the small few who never have anything good to say. But I guess that is what keeps it interesting. It's like a soap opera "As the world of Rennlist turns." So I guess rave on. And John at Vitesse I'm still interested in some chips for my Boxster. I saw you ask the flow rate for the injectors awhile ago on the Boxster forum. Was that just a teaser or are there some good things to come for my other baby? She is need of some perking up as well.
Sorry for this being so long. And now back to turbochargers

Not a teaser at all. I'm working on a neat project for a Boxster (engine transplant), and will be tuning it next week.

Back to topic.

I am very supprised, looking at the various dyno sheets, that the maximum torque is always at such a high RPM! I am in the process of selecting a good replacement for my stock 26/6 turbo. I am looking for a turbo which will hold 15 PSI boost till redline. I think I will go for a 27/6, because of the late maximum torque for almost all after market turbo's (like the LR turbo's).

This was with my stock 26/6 (note: torque is in Nm!):

That's awesome!! I can't wait to see it. With all the projects and products you are developing you must be one of those people who never need sleep. Either that or you are just hard core focused.

Frank, what are you using for a/f control as that is not a real clean line.

Well, Kevin, you owe me $88!!!!

That is the cost of the ticket I got this morning trying to do some full boost runs to get an accurate read of when my full boost was

Would have been more but the cop, (DOT actually, which is a state trooper kinda) was cool.

Anyway, with my temporary VERY conservative (rich!!) tune, until I get my laptop going with the wideband, I was seeing full 18psi at about 3,900-4,100. A little cool this morning so that helps as well.

So, as many and ST for sure can attest, with a really good tune, I could drop that 100-300 revs sooner.

LOL...Sorry to hear about the ticket. Sounds like it could of been worst.

Thanks for the data. I still wish that I could get more on the Super 65. I may call Dave today and get the scoop.

OT: Damn Todd, I didn't know those guys were allowed to ticket anyone but commercial vehicles. Thanks for the heads up.

NOTE!!! The numbers in the graph are CRANK numbers!

I know the AFR line isn't perfect, but it is a lot better now! The peak hp will be a bit higher, because the boost doesn't drop as much as it did (wastegate wasn't connected the way it should have been).

The configuration is:
Stock engine (rebuilded 10.000 miles ago)
Stock K26/6 (130.000 miles)
LR MAF
LR 3" Exhaust without cat
LR dual port wastegate
Guru Chips
65lbs Delphi injectors
Split-Second PSC1-003F PiggyBack

Boost @ 15PSI (a little spike at buildup)
(Tried 18PSI and got 385 lb-ft @ 2943 RPM)

Yea, I think they mostly handle commecial vehicles but the car actually said state trooper on the back. And I have heard that before that technically they have the same powers as state troopers.

In any other car he probaly wouldn't really have noticed or jsut let me go by. But in 951, not much traffic around me and on the boost, I stood out.
