Nice work, but those spot welds are ugly. Either the Amp is too low the welding media is incorrect. Are you using the correct wire to weld?

Looks GOOD Duke.

Did you go to 2-1/2'' on the crossover pipe? (Looks like it)

Nice to hear from Edman! I'm happy to join the GT-club

Yes the last bit on the crossover is 2½".

Can't wait to hear the sound of this beast when it's finished... with the 4" exhaust and aggressive cams rumbling at idle and the GT howling at WOT

(it will be a "while" until that moment though)

You should purge those pipes with argon gas and TIG those joints. It will make for a better weld.
no purge = cracky..lol

The gas was empty when we tacked up those pipes so they went all over the place... but as I said they will be TIG-welded and now they are:

So please, no more talk about the welds

Can you explain what that baffled looking piece on the down pipe is and does? The one pictured above with the new welds.

It's a flex bellow. It allows for some minor movement. Good to have on exhausts to avoid cracking or unnecessary stress. Stainless expands a lot when hot!

This may be a stupid question but I don't care, lol. Where do you plan on blowing the air coming out of the turbo? Do you have to re-index it in the correct direction?

Look at the last pic. It is pointing the right way. The V band on the turbo out helps index the down pipe.
