Great stuff Laust! Let's all point everyone to that post whenever we start back into the "if your engine is balanced, you don't need balance shafts" discussion.

BTW - I have 4 years on a 3 litre motor, 2 with shafts and 2 without. I still have hydraulic motor mounts, which mask a lot of vibration. There is a vibration right around 3K RPM that is pretty annoying if you are driving in that range for a long period of time. On track, it is a non-issue.

Nah don't feel bad, the R888 are good tires as well
It "could" have been R888 since we have them on the track car a few metres away in the photo

Great project. Brings back memories of Perry951's legendary ground up restoration of his red 951.

Cheers to you Duke and to Perry for giving us all this great inspiration!

Luis you shouldn't mention Perrys car here, do you have any idea of how much pressure you're putting on me????

Here's some new pics of suspension and assorted parts

The desirable 968 M030 sway bars and new bushings:

OMG the front bar is meaty...

Rear 3-way adjustability

Lindsey steam vent kit. There are a lot of theories, but even if this only makes a slight difference IMHO it's worth it.

So who can count all the gaskets on this picture? The winner gets to ride in the car

A sweet package of Bilstein and Hypercoil products

A front and rear damper/strut.

Close-up of the bottom of the front strut. Yes I've said it before but it needs to be said again, the quality is amazing!

Close-up of the top of the rear damper.

Gustaf, looks nice. I also bought some time ago similar 968 CS M030 sway bars.
How do you connect this Lindsey head steam kit into the cylinder head?

So you plan to blow 3 headgaskets before you finally get to the MLS HG?

Speaking of which, it appears that Cometic realized that they had to correct the coolant flow paths in their HG design.
Here is a picture of mine, which must be an earlier version and which I modified slightly for better coolant flow pattern.

Yes they have. That gasket is from Lindsey and Lindsey tells me they have it made to their specs with mods made to the water passages. So I don't know if all the MLS gaskets looks like that nowadays.

Here's a pic of an old MLS gasket of mine which has the same passages as the one on your pic:

its either that or cuz lindsey only sells the MLS headgasket separate.cant get it like the wide fire HG.(where you replace the stock with another in the set)

so cometic did update the design, looks like i might have to go and get a cometic one now,i was too worried about leaky passages.btw, where'd you get your 968 M030 sway bars?
