The control arm has new solid bushings. The suspension is a Bilstein Club Sport-setting (Lindsey calls them Escort Turbo cup).
The brakes disc is a 993 TT disc with a Lindsey hub.

Assemblied with new factory bolts. It was a pure feeling of joy to assemble the lower shock mount with new factory camber excentric bolt's etc

I'm expecting the completed front view to be pretty show-off with the nickel plated shock's, blue springs, painted shields, new bolts, custom contral arm mountings, "drilled" rotor with gold anodized hub, red calipers and then my black rims with silver liner with a gold Porsche crest center cap

Sounds sweet, very nice. And you are going to have alot of different colours under there pal. Blue springs, gold hub, red calipers, black rims. It's going to be interesting to see what the "new" Hunter will look like in the end

Are you doing a t-bar delete ? If so.... I see you have the same coilover set-up I have! what spring rate will you be running? Also are you gonna use the bearings or bushings on your spring plates? By the way the bushings are real fun to get of the spring plates arent they!!

Yes, the t-bars are deleted. Uhh yeah the rear bushings are probably the worst job I've done on this car... burning the old vulcanized rubber with a propane torch for like half a day
The rear bushings are replaced by the plastic Weltmeister bushings. Heard a lot of bad things about them, so perhaps I'll have to tear it apart after next season and replace them with a real set of bushings.

I'm starting out with a street friendly 450/650 setup. Probably will go up to 650/750 set later on.

I used Mora for cutting those old rubber bushings away, much faster than burning.
I also have Weltmeisters at rear, they squeal like pigs stabbed with Mora...those Elephant racing bits look promising.Although you can help Weltmeisters too with installing grease fittings.

Gustaf, what brake calipers are you going to use with those disks? Must agree with Pete, Mora is a very useful tool

Mora - one of the best Swedish inventions
I found the Mora to leave to many large chunks so decided use it combined with a propane torch.

So guys, will I be seeing you in Finland next week??

Some updates...
the block has been machined and honed.

The block has also been sprayed black for better heat dissipation.
As you can see the balance shafts are no where to be found... and a bling AN-fitting has been installed for turbo oil supply.

Gustaf,
are you going to delete balance safts for good? Pete & i have also discussed about the same thing with our next season engines; don't know yet which route to choose. Is that black some kind of pait or is it somekind of special coating?

Duke
What does the black paint do to better disipate heat?Is it some special coating, rather than traditional paint? Thanks

Yes, you would think the opposite with black paint retaining heat rather than dissipating it?

The color black is supposedly better at dissipating heat, GM switched to it for that reason for all engines years ago from the Chevy Orange, Buick/Pont. Corporate Blue and Oldsmobile Rocket Gold.
