ELLSSUU John,

Nice project. Was he able to fit the 968 bumper shocks into your car?

No but, they will. We have the re-bar and everything. He will be fabbing up some custom brackets that will go on the side of the hatch to help support the seam and will re inforce structure ridigity

John, if you need more pics of the black car mentioned here, let me know I've got the whole set (took the pics myself!), I have a few closeups of this very well made conversion. The work was done by Fiorano in Toronto.

Congrats on the project, you won't believe how good it looks when all finished!

Regards,
Chris

You need to post up more pics of the black car especially from the side. I am curious as to how it looks.

Are you going to seal the original tail and side marker light holes ? If they arent sealed exhaust fumes will flow into the car. The 968 rear end is completely sealed and the bumper is put on as a cap.

The side marker holes will be completely gone. He is cutting above so we wont need to fill in anything.

OK, I never uploaded images to the Rennlist server so I'm not sure whether this will work.. anyway, here are some closeup shots, including a picture of a wheel for Aeronautica86.

Funny, your car got posted here a LONGGGGG time ago. I like the white splitter looks nice. Is the wing a factory piece or replica?

It's not my car, I don't know where it is now, it was sold 2 years ago! I took the pictures in 2002 if I recall correctly.. couldn't tell you about the wing, the guys at Fiorano could. I wish the current owner was lurking around here. Oh by the way, it's a 3L turbo.

John, I hope the pics help out. The bolt pattern may not be the most visually pleasing solution for a street car, but it works well. Good luck and keep us posted!

Chris

yeah looks lik that guy didnt build a seam at all. He left enough of the old bumper on the underside to literally drill holes through and bolt the 968 rear on top of it.

that will work for a track car but, I am looking for something a little more flush and factory looking
