Reviving an old thread. Probably no longer pertinent but if anyone's still looking for info or pics I may be able help. I've got the #6 944GTR, it's been in storage for quite a few years but again could probably snag some detail pics if needed.

I’m sorry can you repeat that? Did my eyes read that right? #6 944 GTR in storage for years... not pertinent??? If so what Voith said. This is now one of the best thread resurrections ever!

The Bruce Jenner Car? I wrote an article on these cars for 000 Magazine, issue #8, for those interested. We dug up a ton of factory info and interviewed lots of the people involved in building and racing these cars back in the day, so the article has lots of never-before-seen stuff. Greg Brown, who is on rennlist, looks after 004, and is a walking encyclopedia (remember those) on these cars too...

Here is possibly a little known story I heard from Chuck Dressing (long time Brumos publicist) after I had the car. He was at Brainard (in '86?) when EFR won the pole and their only win (for the sister car #11). He said it was clocked on radar at 192mph the fastest speed ever for a Trans-Am car. He also said the aerodynamics is what gave it an edge in straight line speed. Whether that's held up or not I don't know.
Photos. I really don't have much, was just saying I might be able to take some for the OP if needed for his restoration/tribute, although that was years ago plus some detailed shots of the #11 were already posted above. Here's all I can find at the moment, currently squeezed in among other stuff (they're protecting it : )
