Why me?

I got rearended almost a year ago and have been to the orthopedist (sp?) several times. Had x-ray's, MRI, ultrasound and been poked and twisted. I have taken anti-inflamitories and done stretching excersice's to no avail. My shoulder still hurts and it looks like surgery is the only possible relief with no promise's. I still have not settled with his insurance.
Whatever you do don't rush to settle. You only get to do that once.

My Sister, 45 at the time, small frame, was really hurt for over a year ( all neck related )
PT is really the best route to go ...
Depending on your age and phy condition
( I am an old F@#$ ) sounds like you might be as well
will determine how long it takes you to be back to 100%
I hope all wks out for ya bud
On the positive side just think how that Stage III is gonna fly
Best regards
Ed

Good luck with this. Sorry to here this happened. Think you will be all healed and then you will get the Stg.III and then you will have whiplash all over again. Good luck. Sorry for the loss.

i was 3 cars behind a rear ender yesterday at 30mph. i heard it, saw the dust fly, had no traffic behind me, was able to get in the right lane.
the rear car had the hood crumpled, radiator caved in and the car it hit was caved in in the back.
yours had minor damage below the glass, which wasn't broken and the rear 1/4's were caved in slightly.
the car that hit you had no visible damage that i could see.
insurance investigators aren't born at nite and aren't stupid. good luck with your claim.

Luis,
I just found out about the accident and noticed the thread. Man, I feel for you! It's going to be a fight getting decent value from the insurance company. I'd start getting market data for local 951 of similar condition -- you want to make sure that the claim adjuster doesn't mix the value of your car with that of cars in worse conditions.
I'm glad that you're still around to share your experience, but I sure hope you start feeling better soon.
For what it's worth, I think it'll be worth while buying the car back as salvage. Rhesus's old car took similar damages, but the car is still runs well enough to get its share of speeding tickets (see sig). The car also sees occasional track duties as well, despite the obvious rear-end damage.
