Cant get crossover and turbo to line up
Anyone else ran into this problem? This is with the headers tightened down, as well as the header to crossover pipe connections. This is with the copper gaskets that Lindsey Racing sells. Also, updated crossover pipe and headers.
Im hesistant to force anything, things like that dont work well for me. Anyone ran into this before? Did you just force everything into place?
Thanks

I usually put a jack under it just to put some pressure on it, then I take a short, strong snubby screwdriver and stick it through where a bolt would go and get it to move into place. While I wiggle it into place, with my other hand I wiggle a bolt around until it slides through.
I wish that I had a better way of explaining that, because it probably did not make sense to you. . .

I just did this. I installed the short pipe (Lindsey Mod crossover) first on the turbo, and with the headers installed, I then tightened down the v-clamp. It will be off a little bit, but will clamp completely when done.

Dont worry ted, it made sense I was just worried about forcing it so much, but if its been done before...
Ill loosen everything up and have a go tomorrow after I hack the bottom corner of the intake support arm off. As far as I can tell, having it bolted together like stock puts the turbo at an angle.

You can probably line up the holes with a screwdriver and then draw the flanges together with the bolts (or an extra long bolt to start). Do loosen the other side at same time to even then load with pulling it all together.

Ditto on the "loosen everything" first technique. It will line up fine, hand tighten everything an dthen torque it down.
