Rennlist Top 10 HP/TQ
#755
I believe I have it out now, but I was not pushing any more on that day.
It is VERY difficult to make a certain amount of wheel torque below a certain RPM level on these cars.
The 2.5 block is less forgiving of mistakes with big, early torque numbers than of high HP numbers.

DYNO
How does a guy get his dyno on this list. Second request from my last 2.5 prior to rebuild.
I'd like to see it up and then update with my 3.0 dyno.

No, MBC and badly slipping clutch. We replaced the clutch a few weeks after this run. No more slipping, but I overheated the motor on the way to San Diego. The motor in my avatar is going in it's place.

The engine that you sold me wasn't a 3.0?
Lart, I know you sold it on evilbay as a 3.0, but you and I both measured the bores with your leatherman ruler. Loved the way you got rid of the scoring with JB weld.

Lart,
Do you think that I would have sold you a 3.0 motor for what you paid? This was a stock bottom end bad *** 430whp beast running 20psi on 91gas and 24psi on 100 with blowby from new rings that didn't seal properly. You have go to admit that those bores were about as good as they come when you took the head off.
I was honestly surprised that there was no scoring based on the overheating that happened. As you know the head was cracked and a few of the valves were stuck open.
Who ever purchased that block really had a good motor. The bearings were almost new and the crank was in good shape. It only needed a little bore hone, new rings, new head and everything would have been good for another 100K.
IT WAS NOT A 3.0!!!

George, 1st you post a dyno sheet of your 3.0l, than you post what is written above, so is there another motor that you overheated a 3.0l? I am a bit confused and it is not the bottle of 21 years Royal Salute that is confusing me.
