Anybody remember Bill Shook -- is he still around? According to his own reports and credible witnesses, he pulled the control line off his wastegate and ran it flat out on the track for several seasons with the original headgasket.

I guess there isnt much for me to say besides- I dont believe you.

Wow, a name from the past. Bill was getting about 22psi.. On a stock WG the backpressure opens it around 22psi boost. However, with a less restrictive turbo, this could vary!

I have run 22.5psi on the street for the past 2 months on 98RON. Prior to that it was 20psi. Its tuned to zero detonation as well. I am positive more can be had in terms of boost if desired on 98RON if tuned properly and with the right combination of parts.

Mike, you should go check out that thread. The psi number Markus threw out was pretty astounding. He's using a euro management piggy back of some kind. Car looks great. He's doing some good stuff.

Have to say this: It is completely differetn story to boost 2bar without backpressure than it is with stock little pill.
Well, guys - we don't know the timing or EGT on Markus's engine, either..........
I have 6 degrees of ignition advange at rev limiter on 2bar. Rev limiter is set on 7000 rpm

With 9 degrees it detonated on dyno, we took it back.

Why is it so imprtant to see my egt at this point? What it should be in your opinion ST?

I am using full standalone fuel management with 3 hours dataloggin on board, and unlimited logging option with laptop connected, My ECU processor is capable of 16 MIPS (Million instructions per second). Haltec Hestec, Link Autronic have max 3 MIPS, so processor inside of that ECU is allready 5 times more powerful. It also features:
- injection control
- direct fire or distributor ignition
- anti-lag system
- wastegate actuator control
- gearshift indicator
- rev limiter
- water injection control
- RS32 data acquisition
- EEPROM data acquisition
- flat shift (quick shift)
- idle solenoid control
- EGT sensor support
- start rev limiter (launch control)
- knock sensor feedback
- UEGO based autotune option

you can use it up to 13 000 rpm!!!! So it is not piggy back but not so well known FULL STANDALONE

Here is my dyno sheet with 1.8 bar of boost, 402 crank hp/ 552 nm of torque @5000 rpm. THe dyno plot also shows 7600 rpm in real life it's 7000 where i set limiter so that means that actually I have even more torque but dont know exactly how much. Also, my 680cc are on 100 duty cycle here..

And im not done yet with my car, looking for a decent cam:

Machtig, take my name off the list and replace it with Shaheed's. He is the new owner of the car.

PS- I would do it myself but I don't have time.

Markus, it is interesting to see your EGT since too retarted ignition can make the EGT dangerously high. Not saying it is the case with your engine, just interesting for us engine nerds

Do you know how much the dyno calculated your driveline loss? It should generate both a rwhp number and a calculated flyhweel number.

Shaheed: Congrats on the car

Ted: Sorry to see the car go out of you're hands, but it is with someone who will give TLC to it.

Here is something interesting, not a porsche, but it is still interesting:

That BMW is pushing 30psi on 96RON!!! that is 91US Octane!! running TSI Engine management system
