Yes that may give colder air, but it may be better to use the space as a source of positive air pressure, which may be more beneficial. Without ducting in the fender wall it may be a negative pressure zone and be worse! So testing the pressure zones in the cavities a spaces that have access to the filter area may show some routes for tapping pressure into the "air box". Examples are the cavity in the fender, maybe some 3" flexi tubing ducted up, and the metal panel and space where the AC was right below the filter behind the headlight. This would require some scientific testing of the pressue zones and ducting and likely a sealed type box around the filter cavity.

Then you go to your full blown race wings most of which are so fugly they make me wanna be sick, ceck out Lindsey Racing for a pic of that one...
I must strongly disagree with your commentary on the front splitters. If you had an AIR splitter, you know, firsthand knowlege, you would know that the AIR extends down a bit and is very prone to rubbing on the ground. The GT racing splitter (have you ever seen one in person?) does look very nice in person and also has the added advantage of having better ground clearance. IMHO, the GT piece is a better choice for a street car, if you have to have a splitter. I have the AIR splitter, I'll be purchasing a GT splitter in the spring for the reasons I mentioned above.

Here is a pic of the AIR on my car (my car is also in one of the pics earlier in this thread, nose to nose with Pete's car):

Here is an arial shot of the bridge spoiler on the hatch:

I like the rear bridge spoiler a lot. It has an advantage over the rubber one because it offers much less obstruction when looking out the rear. I'd love to get my hands on a reasonably priced 968TRS bridge spoiler someday.....

Here's one more pic for good measure :

I have a 1995 968CS rear spoiler which doesn't have a third brake light.

It was equipped on the 944 Turbo and 944 S2 models before the 968. I know this because i was looking to purchase a 951 directly from Germany and all the 89 951's i saw there came with that spoiler, not an option........
* MY90 and MY91 944 Turbo got the bridge spoiler (no MY91 951 in USA and only a very few MY90)

* MY91 944 S2 got the bridge spoiler

CS spoilers are different from the standard bridge spoiler.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I didn't think any ROW transaxle (924-968 lineage) cars had third brake lights, only those headed toward North America had them.

How do they differ? I have compared the '95CS spoiler to the '91S2 spoiler and as far as I can see there are no differences between the 2 whatsoever.

If you're thinking of the higher model bridge spoiler - that's the 968 Turbo S/RS spoiler.

AIR & GT Racing aren't the only players in the game. I wanted a lip spoiler that was a bit more subtle, so I went the ear splitter route. These are only available in the UK. Here are a couple of pics (not my car though).

For racing applications:

Front-end with oil cooler air tunnel, at

http://home.wanadoo.nl/r.verheijen/9...n-het-kort.htm

Pls disregard the text if you cannot read it (it is in Dutch).

The same page also has our rear wing (996 GT3R wing, with our own mountings). This is adjustable, and is nicely effective in medium to fast corners.

Any questions, do not hesitate. If this is not for racing applications, probably best to ignore this post...
